Happy Pride from our family to yours! This post features the artwork of my darling nephew George. We’re going to make stickers out of his awesome toy drawings! #pride #pride🌈 #pridemonth #kidartist #auntylife #wearefamily #stickers
A friend’s dog was nearing his time to pass on the weekend so we made some paw prints 🐾 of his foot. He passed peacefully yesterday. I gave his human this card with an added ink drawing of his dog running over the rainbow bridge. He says he’s going to frame it. So sweet. 🥲🐶Rest In Peace Chaos, and have fun running very fast in heaven! #dogs #pawprints #rainbowbridge🌈 #petportrait
Another happy customer! My client picked up her painting commission today. 😊#painting #artist #acrylicpainting #westcoast #artstudio
Stickers part 3 - I did a test cut just with paper first, then I tried actual sticker paper. It's quite fun to watch the Cricut machine cutting the material! I gave all these little paper narwhales to my young student so she could glue them onto something. She seemed quite thrilled to have them. I hope my students can make stickers of their own artwork next fall. #stickers #stickerdesign #cricutmaker #artteacher
Sticker making part 2 - I got wise to the spacing needed for sticker sheet designs and made this baby octopus collection with a better layout. I still need to space them out further so the next design will be on bigger paper. I used watercolour and ink to illustrate this cute collection of cephalopods. Then I scanned the image, used Photoshop to improve the layout, then set it up in Cricut Design Space for the "print then cut" stage. Still have to sort out some calibration issues with the Cricut machine at school, but I learned more this time around about layout planning, printing on a laser copier vs an inkjet printer, and how Cricut Design Space interacts with the printer dialog menu. Tech babble aside, what do you think of my little octopuses? What sticker sheet themes would you want me to make? I think I'll make some dogs next, since I'm obsessed with my silken windhound, but I'd like to know what sticker fans would be excited about! #stickers #cricutmaker #watercolourandink #watercolour #illustration #octopus #cephalopod #stickerdesign
My school bought a Cricut machine and we now have a "swag department". I figure the best way for me to learn how to use the machine is to make some projects, so I'm developing some sticker sheet designs as a beginning. Hoping to do a similar project with my art students in the future. Here are my first two designs, some cute narwhales and some kittens. I used watercolours and ink to make them, scanned the images and made digital layouts with Photoshop and Cricut Design Space. I did manage to produce the actual stickers, and learned a lot in the process, but there's still a few minor problems to work out. #watercolourandink #watercolours #kittens #narwhales #stickers #cricutmaker
