"Love, Louise" - These handmade reduction linocut art cards are now available in my Etsy shop! Link in my profile. This is a limited edition print on white card stock. They are cards, but worthy of framing because they are also original art. Each print is unique because it is hand made. The image features Louise the silken windhound and her long, cute snoot. Louise is sister to my dog Elska, and she is a sweety. I have a coloured paper edition of these cards coming available soon, but for now the white paper edition is up and ready to go! Get them while you can because once they're gone I can't make any more. #limitededition #silkenwindhound #silkenwindhoundsofinstagram #artcard #printmaking #linocut #reductionlinocut #etsyshop #etsyartist #handmadecards #sighthound
I made this barred owls print in November last year and sent out a bunch of them to family and friends. I still have some in the studio so I decided to list them on my Etsy shop, along with a varied edition on fancy marbled papers. The varied edition prints are unique and one of a kind. Small linocut prints are an affordable and enjoyable way to collect art from your favourite artists! They look great framed on the wall, and you can also tuck them away in a portfolio as you add to your collection. This one features the barred owls that live by my home studio. We hear them hooting and cackling in the twilight hours, and I've often watched them hunting for small prey in the creek area. To order a print visit my Etsy shop - link in profile! Knitting hazard! Ember is “helping” me sew on these antler buttons to my Icelandic sweater that I finished in the summer. My dad and I made the buttons together. Today I finished polishing them with beeswax. Now they are stitched on, but I think the button holes need a little stitching to make them nice and strong. Then I can finally wear it! #knitting #sweaterknitting #icelandicwool #bengalcat #tabbycat #cats
One step closer to getting these reduction linocut cards listed on my Etsy shop! Folded, trimmed, signed, numbered and packaged! “Love, Louise” limited edition art cards going out into the world very soon! #silkenwindhound #silkenwindhoundsofinstagram #dogart #artcard #handmade #reductionlinocut #linocut #printmaking #printmaker #artist #etsyshop
“Love, Louise” - Printed the last ink layer on this reduction linocut varied edition today. Now I let the ink dry, do a few detail additions, trim and fold them into cards. #reductionlinocut #linocut #printmaking #silkenwindhound #silkenwindhoundsofinstagram #lovemydog #artist
Last layer of ink on this reduction linocut print edition! It’s a Valentine’s Day image featuring Louise the silken windhound. When the ink is dry I will trim and fold the prints into cards.
