This is a portrait of our old cat Loke (pronounced Low-kee) sleeping on a handmade quilt. Loke was an affectionate cat named after the Viking god of mischief.

This image was made based on the stories from a friend who adopted two lurcher dogs in Wales and used to run the dogs on the beaches there and in Oregon. The dogs LOVED to run so fast they were flying!

This painting was made as an illustration for a public park sign for the Oaklands community in Victoria. We had a special event with neighbours and their dogs at the park where I took lots of photographs to help me with the painting. My own dog Luci appears in the bottom left corner just above the seesaw.
