Linocut printmaking and hand colouring with red ink.
I made this print when I was at a printmaking workshop in Victoria’s Chinatown. The studio was on the second floor of a very old brick building. I looked out the window and drew directly onto the linocut plate. I really like the bright colours and bonsai-like trees on Fisgard Street.

Reduction linocut printmaking, edition of 5.
Reduction linocut printmaking uses a single plate for multiple colours. The plate is carved in stages for each colour. Each colour is printed over top of the last one until the final image is created. Because each stage involves further carving down the surface of the plate you can only produce a limited edition of prints.
2018 –
6×12 inches.
Silkscreen printmaking on paper, edition of 10.
I made this print at a silkscreen printmaking workshop at the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts. I love seeing the families of California quails running around my neighbourhood. The babies are so tiny!

I made this little sculpture with natural materials found outside, then turned it into this little character in my print.

A collaborative print made
by the Pender Bay 8, a group of printmakers (including Caroline).
Wood cut relief print, edition of 12.
This print was made by the students and instructor at a relief printmaking course at the Metchosin International Summer School for the Arts, in the floating lab of Pearson College on the surface of Pedder Bay, BC. The plate was cut into pieces with a jig saw and each piece was carved and inked by individual artists. We reassembled the pieces then printed them with a press.

Lift print on rice paper, chin colle and monotype print using a press. One of a kind.
I often see owls behind my house perched in the trees over the creek. I have taken many photographs of them. This print was made from one of my photos while I was at a monotype printmaking workshop at the Metchosin International Summer School for the Arts.
