I visited SḴŦÁMEN (Sidney Island) for the first time today. The WSANEC School Board took all of our staff there for a day of cultural and nature learning. After attending all the morning workshops I sat in the sand to paint this scene in my sketchbook. #watercolours #sketchbook #pleinair #westcoast #salishsea #coastsalishterritory
Found a patch of very rare native flowers today! I won’t say where. They are deltoid balsamroot I think. Look a lot like a sunflower.
